Uncle Strut are an indie rock band from Vancouver, Canada. They have released 8 singles to date, have played over 40 shows and have had 4 festival appearances since their inception in 2021.
These include headline shows at The Wise Hall, The Fox Cabaret, The Biltmore Cabaret and The Local Festival. Uncle Strut are known for their energetic live performances, creative marketing strategies and hilarious offstage antics.

Some of their favourite pastimes include tattooing each other, combing their moustaches and taking their shirts off.

Cat Madden “is like an opera singer mixed with a Husqvarna chainsaw…” Cat strives to be an ambassador for women in music with songs that “eloquently blur the lines between rock, soul and jazz”. The band has been likened to groups as diverse as Little Feat, Frank Zappa, Heart, Yes and Stevie Nicks. Expect a mind-altering, emotionally powerful, refreshingly genuine performance intertwined with witty banter and silly sometimes moments.
